The danger signs of choking are:

  • Bluish skin color
  • Difficulty breathing - ribs and chest pull inward
  • Loss of consciousness if blockage is not cleared
  • Inability to cry or make much sound
  • Weak, ineffective coughing
  • Soft or high-pitched sounds while inhaling
