Symptoms

Symptoms often first appear in childhood, but severe vision problems do not usually develop until early adulthood.

  • Decreased vision at night or in low light
  • Loss of side (peripheral) vision, causing "tunnel vision"
  • Loss of central vision (in advanced cases)
