Mucosa
Definition:
Mucosa is moist tissue that lines particular organs and body cavities throughout the body, including your nose, mouth, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract. Glands along the mucosa secrete mucus (a thick fluid). Alternative Names: Mucous membrane
