| Definition:
If fingers that are exposed to cold or stress turn pale or change colors, it is a sign of cyanosis. Cyanosis is a bluish discoloration of the skin and mucous membranes from lack of oxygen. Alternative Names: Blanching of the fingers (blanching means to become pale) Text Continues Below
