What abnormal results mean

Abnormal results may be due to:

  • Bone conditions that get worse over time (degenerative)
  • Bone tumor
  • Broken bone (fracture)
  • Dislocated bone
  • Osteomyelitis

Other conditions for which the test may be performed:

  • Clubfoot
  • To detect foreign objects in the body
