Systemic lupus erythematosus

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorder which may affect many organ systems including the skin, joints, blood vessels, and kidneys. The disease may be mild or severe and life threatening. Women are disproportionately affected.
