Normal nose
From Healthscout's partner site on cholesterol, HealthCentral.com
The nose is the external organ of smell and sense. It is also the beginning of the air passages and the only externally visible part of the respiratory system. The nose moistens and warms the air as it enters the body, traps and filters inhaled air of foreign matter, and contains the receptors for smell.
