DESCRIPTION

Hypertension PRINIVIL ® (lisinopril tablets, Merck Frosst Std.) is indicated in the treatment of essential hypertension and in renovascular hypertension.

Chemical name: (S)-1-[ N 2 -( 1-carboxy-3-phenylpropyl)-L-lysyl]-L-proline dihydrate.
Molecular formula: C 21 H 31 N 3 0 5 2H 2 O
Molecular weight: 441.53

Description:

Lisinopril is a white to off-white, crystalline powder. It is soluble in water and sparingly soluble in methanol and practically insoluble in ethanol.

Tablets PRINIVIL ® , 2.5 mg, are white, round flat-faced beveled-edged compressed tablets, with code MSD on one side and number 15 on the other side. Available in blister packages of 30 tablets.

Tablets PRINIVIL ® , 5 mg, are white, shield-shaped, scored, compressed tablets, with code MSD 19 on one side and PRINIVIL on the other. Available in bottles of 100 tablets and in blister packages of
30 tablets.
